We are all acutely aware of the restrictions that we have been faced with due to the ongoing pandemic. Although as a school we welcome the easing of restrictions, Governors and I think it vital that we continue to ensure that we are doing our utmost to keep children, parents and staff safe.
For this reason we have made some adaptations to our end of term events that would usually take place.
Graduation ceremonies for children who are due to leave for primary school will take place on the 13th and 14th July, from 4.00pm- 5.00pm. All leavers will receive a separate invitation for this event after the half term holiday, where they will wear a cap and gown and be presented with their learning journal and graduation certificate.
The ceremony will be ticketed so that we can manage numbers, and we are requesting 1 parent only to attend; with unfortunately no siblings this year. We welcome this opportunity for parents to celebrate their child’s time and achievements at Crossens Nursery School!
We have also taken the decision not to hold a Summer Fair this year. Despite the easing of restrictions, Governors and I continue to take into account the safety of children, parents, our staff and community, and as a result feel that it is simply not viable to offer a Summer Fair this year.
We appreciate that this academic year we have had to approach some events within school in a different way and would like to thank you for your understanding and continued support, which has helped us all to stay safe during this time.
