Welcome
Dear Parents
All that takes place within Crossens Nursery School in terms of learning and teaching, building relationships and professional development stems from the overriding factor – the ‘image of the child’.
We believe, like the Reggio Educators in Italy, that rather than seeing the child as an empty vessel waiting to be filled with knowledge there is a child with unlimited potential who is eager to interact and to contribute to the world.
A child has a fundamental right to ‘realise and expand their potential’, driven by curiosity and imagination, who delights in responsibility for his/her own learning, a child who listens and is listened to, needs to love and be loved, a child who is valued in a happy, warm, friendly atmosphere.
We look forward to welcoming your child to our Nursery School, and hope that his/her time with us will be happy and successful.
Our Nursery achieved an Outstanding Ofsted on 3rd and 4th November 2010.
I hope that you will find this information pack informative. If after reading it, you would like more information, please do not hesitate to call in and see me.
